Carmel Woman Caught With Heroin Outside Applebee's, Putnam Sheriff Says

A Carmel woman is facing charges after police say she was caught with heroin outside an Applebee’s restaurant, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday, July 2.

Officers with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) say they conducted a welfare check on a vehicle parked at Applebee’s in the Town of Southeast (115 Independent Way) on Saturday, April 27.

Officers say the vehicle’s driver, identified as Roxanne Leonard, 28, of Carmel, was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and marijuana.

Leonard was ticketed and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Southeast Court on a future date.
